Justice “Fur” All

Author: Coyne PR

Today is my first “Justice Fur All” post.  The purpose of these posts is to educate pet parents about the endless cases of animal cruelty happening everyday across the country and throughout the world.  I hope that in reading my posts, more and more individuals and organizations will take the appropriate steps to stop these horrific stories from happening and to help these animals live a healthier and happier life.

Today’s “Justice Fur All” salutes the Pennsylvania SPCA who have helped save the lives of more than 200 puppy mill dogs and have provided them the medical attention they so desperately need.

Derbe “Skip” Eckhart, former owner of Almost Heaven Kennel, has been found guilty of two counts of animal cruelty.  Back in June 2009, members of the Pennsylvania SPCA raided the kennel after the conditions inside did not improve.

Eckhart could face up to one year in prison for each of the crimes for which he was convicted.
