Humana Communities Benefit Reveals New Program

For the past decade, health and well-being company Humana has shown its commitment to improving community health through Humana Communities Benefit, a charitable grant program that awards a 501(c)(3) organization with a sizeable grant to impact the well-being of the local community.

Humana and the Humana Foundation are taking their signature philanthropic program to a new level by more than tripling the grant amount! Starting this year, one deserving nonprofit in Chicago, San Antonio and Tampa Bay, focused on promoting healthy initiatives, will be awarded $350,000.

The funding will be provided over a three-year period:

Have a clear explanation for how this program will be transformative for your organization, the community and the people you serve. space

Accurately report on the numbers and include statistics that support any claims made in your grant. The judges may ask for confirmation, so make sure your statements can be reinforced with facts.

Have someone with no connection to your organization read the grant before submitting. This gives you a different perspective and allows for others to provide feedback. It also helps to include your staff in the application process. space
